On Tuesday morning, St. Albert Mayor Cathy Heron reported the St. Albert the Great statue had been stolen from downtown St. Albert. 

In February 2022, the town lost its lab services and the X-ray machine broke in February 2020 but was never repaired.

On Jan. 21, 2023, John de Ruiter was charged with four counts of sexual assault. Leigh Ann de Ruiter’s charges stem from three of the same incidents.

Three nabbed at storage facility

A group of local firefighters will be serving up meals at East Side Mario's tonight to raise cash for charity. 

Now that the second location is open the two facilities are expected to be able to handle between 135,000 and 150,000 collections per year, according to previous Gazette reporting. 

Starting this fall, Sturgeon Composite High School will be introducing French-taught courses in the Humanities Department, which will give students the ability to register for French Language Arts (FLA) 10, as well as Études Sociales 10.

"Investment in Lakeview Business District will maintain the momentum of economic growth along Ray Gibbon Drive," St. Albert Mayor Cathy Heron said.

Joe Becigneul, chair of Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools, previously anticipated that funding would remain stable, as it had for the last several years. Becigneul said the nearly $600 million increase in funding indicated a “good news budget.” However, the districts have yet to receive the details as to how the funding will be allocated.
