RE: Letter to the editor from Oct. 10
Mr. Sanderson, my heart goes out to you. The parents of those two young children should have thanked you instead of yelling at you.
A few years ago, my friend and I witnessed a 13-year-old on a bike get hit at a crosswalk, and he sadly died. The driver was not at fault.
You did those parents a favour. Young children should be taught to wait for whoever is in charge before crossing a street.
We also taught our children to make eye contact with any driver before crossing.
I was outraged when reading your letter to the editor. This is my first letter to the St. Albert Gazette because I feel so strongly about your experience. You did everything right.
