My wife and I totally agree with J. Richie (Gazette Oct. 17) that St. Albert councillors should give all taxpayers the opportunity to decide whether they wish to have thousands of dollars in taxpayers money used to change the Grandin name in St. Albert.
We hope our city councillors have the strength not to continue the copycat trend against everything "Grandin" that is now working its way across Canada. The money needed to change all the Grandin names in signs, maps, documents etc. would be better used on something which would benefit all residents of St. Albert regardless of their history.
