On Sept. 5, I attended the city council meeting to learn the wording of the ballot questions about funding for the branch library, an ice surface and an aquatic space for St. Albert.

Thank you Ken Klak for your letter (Gazette, Sept. 16) regarding voting for planning to spend more money out of the taxpayers' pockets.

With the mayoral election coming soon I felt I had to write and express my concern regarding some of our candidates. My family and I moved to St. Albert from the U.K.

Monday, Sept. 18 between 4 pm and 4:45 pm I had the unfortunate experience to watch three young males, likely in junior high, demonstrate being unhealthy followers rather than positive leaders.

Re: Parker enters race for mayor ( Gazette , Sept. 9). Malcolm Parker is quoted as saying:" I’m not doing it to have a job. I’m not doing it for the money, and I’m not doing it for the ambition.

What is wrong with our legal system? Murder suspect Beryl Musila who is accused of killing Ron Worsfold ( St. Albert Gazette , Sept. 13). Her first court appearance took place July 12. Now this matter has been postponed until Sept.

St. Albert residents are being divided. Herein lies the real problem. We have a very divided city council. One side is trying to make sure that residents and taxpayers are being dealt with honestly.

As a strong supporter of regional solutions to regional challenges, I was very encouraged to see that St. Albert and Edmonton have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to create a Regional Transit Services Commission.

The Community Refugee Committee of St. Albert would like to thank the Gazette staff for their assistance in promoting our latest fundraiser, the Parking Lot Garage Sale held on Sept. 9.

I'm wondering why someone would throw a flower pot to the ground, which I placed as a memorial tribute to my wife, at the park bench with her plaque on it.
