I read in the St. Albert Gazette that the city workers “will receive a 2.25 per cent raise under a new one-year agreement,” March 26 issue. The article goes on to elaborate that they will receive one per cent retroactive to Jan.

It's Saturday morning and I'm sitting at home in peace, pondering the coffee in my hands and the future of Canada.

In reply to Susan Miller’s letter on March 26, I could not agree more.

I would like to applaud Donna Nilsson for questioning the decision taken by her school board to install Wi-Fi systems in all of its elementary schools, ‘Parent sounds alarm about Wi-Fi,’ March 19 Gazette.

Last week, the St. Albert Gazette reported that council and developers are frustrated with delays.

I support Coun. Cam MacKay's views of outsourcing. It is time we start letting market factors determine what we pay for our refuse, not unions. The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) complained that they were trashed. So be it.

I doubt that I am the only person on the sidelines of the Morinville public-Catholic school debate who is still waiting to hear what the real issues of the complainants are.

I would like to compliment two outstanding businesses in St. Albert.
