Mr. John Hammond (July 16 Gazette) may be late to the climate change debate. Even though I am not a climate scientist either, I do have about 20 or so books on the subject and have been following the debate since about November 2008.

Healing Garden should go forward

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a gas that helps keep solar heat from radiating back into space from Earth’s lower atmosphere (the living zone). CO2 captures heat energy. The more CO2 there is in the atmosphere, the greater its greenhouse gas effect.
