The generosity of St. Albertans shone this week as residents rallied together to support the food bank.

This virus has impacted everyone, and is going to financially impact families, employees (now unemployed), businesses, governments, municipalities for a long time how long no one knows at this time.

Dear Neighbours, Recently a letter to the editor was published titled “Selfish in St. Albert”. This letter attempts to paint citizens in opposition to the construction of multiple towers in Oakmont as selfish.

In a world where busy-ness is viewed as a symbol of success, one of the most overwhelming effects of the new COVID-19 reality is how to deal with something many of us have not experienced in a while: living in a world where time has slowed down.

I believe now is a really important time for families who have had the good fortune of remaining financially stable during this COVID-19 outbreak to try and help those families struggling to make ends meet.

Over any given period, commentary and letters in the Gazette tend to be a mixture of knowledgeable posts, political doctrine, non-science and various complaints. This why it was a breath of fresh air to read the short letter from Robert K.
