Marilyn was born in the dry hills south of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on her family’s farm, the oldest of seven children. Throughout her life she lived in Moose Jaw, Saskatoon, Surrey, BC, and finally St. Albert, Alberta.

She worked all of her life until almost her final days. She worked in retail, as an entrepreneur and in childcare. She was a daring and adventurous cook who was famous for her baking. Cinnamon buns and fried chicken were especial treats. Meals at her table were delicious. Marilyn was an expert gardener like her mother, and like her father she had a special bond with animals. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

There will be a public service in her memory on Sept 10th at 1pm at the St. Albert Legion.
