Gail passed away suddenly on Sunday. She was predeceased by her mother Jean, father Stu, Sister Susan and Brother Doug. She will be missed by her brothers, Pat (Elaine), John (Jill) and Brian (Jocelyn) and uncountable people who called her Aunty Gail including Chris and family, Jen and family, Zach and Zoe, Nathan and family and Ty. There isn’t enough room to list the others who thought of Gail as part of the family.

Gail was always smiling except when she was complaining to her mother about “Pat smoking on the school grounds again” or “why do you let John wear that stupid hat”. Fortunately, she had 4 brothers that were more than willing to embarrass her in front of her friends.

She started working at Sask-Tel in Regina where she graduated from Central Collegiate. Later she joined her family who had moved to St. Albert, got a job at Edmonton Motors then moved on to work at Woodwards. Next stop GWG in Edmonton. When they merged with Levi Strauss she transferred to Toronto where she lived until she retired. Everywhere Gail went she met new friends right away and fit in quickly. Moving to Toronto on her own, not knowing a soul, it didn’t take long to fit in and make tons of friends.

She moved back to St. Albert and stayed with her dad until she had a fall and had to move into a retirement home, where she acquired a bunch of new friends. She also spent a lot of time voicing the concerns and complaints of the other residence. She stood up for everyone.

Gail will always be remembered as a shopper. The Shopping Channel may have to close their doors without Gail to support them along with a few other establishments. As I said before Gail will be missed by more people than you can ever think of.

There won’t be a funeral or celebration of life at this time at Gail’s request. Donation to your favourite charity in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.

Rest in Peace.
