It is with sadness that we share the news of Jean Fenerty's passing in Edmonton, Alberta on August 22, 2025 at the age of 89.
She is lovingly remembered by her three children, Nancy, Ken (Joanne), and James (Gladys); her grandchildren, John (Marie) and Anne; her brother, Bruce (Linda) and sister-in-law, Pam; her nieces and nephews, Sarah Jean (Ryan) (and their children, Abel, Elias, and Ivar), Iain, Matthew, Susan (Dennis), Bill, and Dave (Chris).
She was predeceased by her parents, George and Bea Sinclair; her brothers, Bob (Lois) and Gordon; her spouses, Ken Simpson and Ron Fenerty; and her niece, Kim, and nephew, Bob.
Jean was born August 23, 1935 in Brantford, Ontario and raised her children in nearby Cambridge, where she began the para-legal career that she continued in Calgary with Genstar, until retiring and moving to St. Albert. She was devoted to her family, very generous, and made everyone feel welcome and loved. She was a voracious reader, loved to travel, and hosted many memorable gatherings with family and friends.
The family would like to thank her friends and doctors, and the staff at Chartwell (St. Albert) and Hardisty Seniors Community (Edmonton) for their kindness and attention.
She will be missed by everyone.
A family Memorial will be held in the near future
