Wolves zone in The Morinville Wolves served up victories against the Barrhead Gryphons in the North Central zone men’s and women’s volleyball finals for berths at the Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association championships.

Merchants at Jets The St. Albert Merchants and Morinville Jets renew their rivalry tonight in the Capital Junior B Hockey League. Hall of Fame netminder Glenn Hall will perform the ceremonial puck drop at 6 p.m. at Ray McDonald Sports Centre.

The St. Albert Physical Education Council final between the Lorne Akins Gators and Richard S. Fowler Falcons went down to the wire before a winner was declared.

The fourth time is hopefully the charm for the St. Albert High Skyhawks.

Fort Saskatchewan – Playing from behind for most of Saturday’s final left the St. Albert Riders trailing the Calgary Wildcats in the race to the finish line for the Football Alberta Tier I peewee championship.

Junior B games The Saturday Night Special in the Capital Junior B Hockey is the 6 p.m. tilt between the St. Albert Merchants and Morinville Jets at Ray McDonald Sports Centre.
