Ellerslie Rugby Park – The next generation of players at the St. Albert Rugby Football Club showcased their skills this season as the unofficial provincial U17 champions.

The family of a missing B.C. man last seen in Alberta is posting a special reward for more information about his disappearance. Valentine (Val) Degenhardt was reported missing to Morinville RCMP on July 19. He was last seen around 5:30 p.m.

Like it or not, it appears école Alexandre-Taché, the regional francophone high school in St. Albert, will have a new home in Eldorado Park in 2016.

Ailsa MacDonald of St. Albert was running against herself as the female winner of the Edmonton Marathon on Sunday. MacDonald, 33, crossed the finish line in two hours, 51 minutes and 32 seconds as the ninth overall finisher.

The Bellerose Bulldogs host the Spruce Grove Panthers and Ross Sheppard Thunderbirds in Thursday’s high school football jamboree at Riel Recreation Park. The controlled scrimmages run from 5 to 7 p.m.

Ellerslie Rugby Park – The Strathcona Druids were on the receiving end of a strong message delivered in Saturday’s decisive win by St. Albert's premier men's rugby team.

The Bellerose Bulldogs are the proverbial underdogs in the toughest high school football conference in Alberta. The Bulldogs are among four teams remaining in the Carr conference after the merger of the Edmonton metro and public leagues in April.

Today is a big day for St. Albert’s U17 juniors and premier men at Ellerslie Rugby Park. At 2:15 p.m. the U17s and Druids-Lep/Tigers scrum down for the Ron Allen Cup in the Edmonton Rugby Union.

A streak of seven silvers at the international and national level for St. Albert badminton player Ty Lindeman ended with gold at the Pan American Junior Championships in Mexico.
