The Bellerose Bulldogs and Paul Kane Blues were in a zone Wednesday as metro Edmonton curling champions. Bellerose won the mixed title and Paul Kane was the top female rink at the zone finals at the Ottewell Curling Club.

The next round for St. Albert’s championship contenders is the final four in the bantam AAA provincial playoffs.

The annual St. Albert Ladies Bonspiel is underway with 16 teams competing for spots in Sunday’s final at 1 p.m. A new winner will be crowned with last year’s champion, Diana Backer, and the runner-up, Maureen Forbes, not returning.
