St. Albert weather: Risk of freezing rain tonight

Freezing rain is possible overnight Thursday, leading to a 60 per cent chance of showers Friday morning.

Sunny conditions are expected for most of Thursday – until the risk of freezing rain arrives tonight.

Today’s high of 2 C will feel more like -8 with the wind chill in the morning.

Environment Canada forecasts the 40 per cent chance of freezing rain begins around 2 a.m. and morphs into a 60 per cent chance of morning showers at 6 a.m.

Friday’s high of 4 C will be buffeted by 20 km/h winds from the west that will gust up to 40 km/h.

Snow is possible Saturday, as is a high of 1 C. A 60 per cent chance of flurries will blow in by the evening.
