Josh Mahura will be back home next week, and he's bringing a friend – the Stanley Cup.

Mahura, who played his minor hockey here in St. Albert, was a member of the Florida Panthers team that beat the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup Finals last month.

One of the many traditions that comes with winning the Stanley Cup is each player is awarded a day with the cup. Mahura plans to use part of his day with Cup celebrating with his hometown.

On Monday, July. 22 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Mahura will be at Jarome Iginla Arena, giving local fans a chance to come meet both Mahura and the Stanley Cup.
