Clarifications and corrections

Clarification: A March 3 Gazette article described Stuart Fix as an engineer with St. Albert’s ReNü Building Science and one of the designers of the energy efficient housing project Station Pointe Greens.

Clarification: A March 3 Gazette article described Stuart Fix as an engineer with St. Albert’s ReNü Building Science and one of the designers of the energy efficient housing project Station Pointe Greens. To clarify, Fix was working for Vital Engineering of Sherwood Park when he did design work for this project. He now works for ReNü Building Science, which wasn’t involved in the project.

Correction: The photo captions within a March 7 story on the Edmonton Garrison’s new tanks incorrectly identified the vehicles as “new Leopard C2 tanks.” The vehicles were actually newly refurbished Leopard 2A4M tanks.

Clarification: On Saturday, March 10, a Gazette item on the 2012 Earth Summit quoted We Canada spokesperson Marina Hutton as saying, “Right now, Canada [as a government] is not currently going to be represented at the conference.” Hutton later said she was mistaken and that the Canadian government will, in fact, be at that conference.

Correction: A photo caption published in the March 10 edition of the Gazette stated that students from Muriel Martin school would be attending the Green School program at the Devonian Botanic Garden. It was actually students from Robert Rundle who attended the program.

The Gazette apologizes for any confusion created by these items.
