Edmonton fire throwing plumes of smoke into air

Edmonton fire crews are currently on scene of a grass fire in northwest Edmonton near Anthony Henday Drive. 

At around 4 p.m. a fire started burning near 111 Avenue and Anthony Henday Drive. 

Another fire is burning in Edmonton at 184 Street and 105 Avenue. 

Earlier today another fire in Edmonton was producing smoke so thick it was impacting driver visibility on Wayne Gretzky Drive in the area of Mt Lawn Road. The smoke was so thick several drivers collided with Edmonton Fire trucks due to the visibility issues in the area. No major injuries have been reported and those involved are being treated on scene.
