Two men used physical force to take a small amount of cash from a local convenience store last weekend.

Early last Saturday morning around 12:15 a.m., the two men ran into the 7-Eleven convenience store on Akins Drive. While one pushed a clerk out of the way, the other put another employee in a headlock and demanded they open the register.

The clerk complied and the pair quickly fled the scene with a little more than $100 in cash.

Const. Janice Schoepp said the pair did not produce any weapons and the clerks weren’t physically injured in the robbery, thought they were shaken up.

“Neither one suffered any injuries.”

The two men were both Caucasian between 16 and 18 years of age. One is believed to be about five-foot-10 inches tall and the other is shorter at around five-foot-five or five-foot-six.

Both were wearing dark hoodies or jackets and baggie pants. The taller boy had his hoodie pulled tightly around his face, while the shorter boy was wearing a royal blue hat with a round sticker on a flat brim.

He also had a black and white bandana covering the bottom half of his face.

Anyone with any information on the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-Tips or the St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700.
