LETTERS: Trudeau missed the boat, we pay on trade

The European Union and United States have made a trade deal where they have an initial agreement for a 15 per cent tariff on goods between the two countries. The EU has also agreed to purchase $600 billion of US energy over the next few years along with additional investment in the US and buying US military equipment.

So let's take a look back at the Trudeau and his Liberals' decade of darkness as it will pertain to our upcoming trade negotiations with Trump and the United States.

Just think back to the proposal of building energy pipelines to eastern Canada where ports could have been built to export our clean Canadian energy to Europe that would be able to replace uncertain supplies of Russian energy. However our Prime Minister at the time and his Liberal lackeys said that there was "no business case" for that type of project.

Add to the mix that we are also buying U.S. military equipment and aircraft.

It just goes to show how lacking the former PM was in terms of business sense and acumen and how "he missed the boat" (pun intended) that will now leave us at the dock when we attempt to "negotiate" a trade deal with the U.S.
