I am a resident of St. Albert for over 50 years but, not in the Grandin Neighborhood. I'm pretty certain that Grandin residents are concerned about the almost certain possibility that their neighbourhood and street names will be changed.
My suggestion is to simply truncate Grandin to Grand. The neighbourhood is a grand one and could be named as such. Street signs could be easily changed and I'm sure the post office could continue to direct mail to the appropriate mailboxes. Sound too simple. Let's find out how the affected residents feel.
