On a recent Tuesday, I was travelling down Sir Winston Churchill Avenue, between Woodlands Road and Boudreau Road, when my beautiful and well cared for vehicle was pelted with chip stone, which the city deems reasonable to cover fresh tar, so as to keep vehicle tires from pulling tar from the so-called stop-gap measures of road repair.
Whomever decided this was a great idea should take their cherished possession down a freshly tarred road smattered with those tiny paint-chipping pieces of sharp rat-a-tat-tatting stones, and give their head a shake.
Diatomaceous earth would seem to be a better product for that application, if not because of a greater cost, to cut back on the extreme overuse of the chip stone. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who would like to preserve the cosmetic appearance of my vehicle. After all, it is next highest in cost besides our home.
