I feel that it is worth noting where the three federal political parties held their pre-parliamentary caucus meeting this week in preparation for the fall session of the House of Commons.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his Liberals met in Nanaimo, BC, with a number of his MPs reportedly absent. Jagmeet Singh and his NDP met in Montreal.
Meanwhile, Pierre Poilievre and his Conservatives met on Sunday in Ottawa, the day before Parliament resumes and when most, if not all, of the Conservatives would already be in town staying at their Ottawa residences.
No extra cost for travel to another city, no extra cost for accommodations. A simple cost-saving measure.
Sort of makes sense. Common sense, don't you think?
