Comments by Kristopher Wells, Marie Renaud, and Kurt Phillips in the article "Arden rental policies under scrituniy after controversial event" will disappoint proponents of free speech. It's particularly disturbing these complainers appear to believe a taxpayer-funded facility should be forced to block peaceful events such as the one hosted by Canadians for Truth on Dec.15.

The important part of Jack Farrell's article is the statement: "...the Arden Theatre, which is operated by the City of St. Albert, is a public venue that provides private groups with the opportunity to book the space for private events." That's it, no controversy about this event is necessary.

Pastor Artur was well-received with two standing ovations from the crowd. This writer thoroughly enjoyed the thought-provoking and interesting show. We don't need articles that promote division in our society, and perhaps there is less discord among the population of St. Albert than the press would have us know.
