With the terrible and horrible destruction happening in Jasper National Park and the Town of Jasper, when will our city clean up or clean out some of the deadfall in so many of our forested parks and green spaces?
With the amount of dead wood currently sitting on the ground, if a major fire were to sweep through here, I don't think our city would fare any better than the poor folks in Jasper will have to deal with in the months and years to come.
If we really are the "botanical city," we need to take care of these spaces, both the green stuff and the dead stuff.
