Hinshaw returned back to work in-person Tuesday after self-isolating

Alberta’s chief medical officer of health will provide an update on COVID-19 and the ongoing work to protect public health.

Students must adhere to the pickup schedule as the school will be limiting the amount of students in the building at a time.

The courts will no longer allow any members of the public in the courtrooms unless they are required for the matter before the court, including media and witnesses. Legal counsel is allowed to access the courthouse for urgent court-related business.

In a message to families, superintendent Krimsen Sumners and school board chair Glenys Edwards said children's schools will communicate with parents about how they can pick up text books, personal items, etc., within the next day or two.

Regular transit service will still be available. However, as of March 16, transit buses will be limited to 50 per cent capacity. For busy routes, the city will arrange a second bus.

Other measures include closing all licensed child care facilities, out-of-school care programs and preschool programs indefinitely; restricting mass gatherings at places of worship; cancelling post-secondary classes; and advising long-term and continuing care facilities to limit visitation to essential visitors only.
