Wilkins said he has a strong belief in community, and would like to use his experience to help attract more business to St. Albert.

Trapani said conversations with neighbours and friends have helped inform his platform, and he hopes to address the issues that matter most to them.

Jones said, if elected, she would want to be a “positive voice” on council, and work toward pursuing accountability, inclusivity, and plan for the long term.

Unlike her other council counterparts, Hughes waited until the Sept. 20 deadline before declaring her intention for the Oct. 18 municipal election.

He previously ran for council in 2017. He said the issues he pursued in the previous election are still relevant this time around.

Biermanski said if elected she will strive for ensuring more input is heard on council decisions, and pursue development that will benefit residents of St. Albert.

Russell, who has served five terms as a city councillor, said if elected he would like to focus on transparency, cutting city spending, and increasing the number of smaller homes in St. Albert.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to work with other elected officials and administration on how we can keep the city the place that it is, as well as making it better for the future."

Popik said he wants to work toward increasing council transparency, and evaluate city services to assess potential avenues for cutting back on spending.

Stoyko said that when it comes to the city's budget, he would like to see more attention paid to distinguishing between what he described as its wants and needs.
