The Arctic front will begin to recede from St. Albert and area this weekend, but there's plenty of cold left over.
A 40 per cent chance of flurries is in the cards all day Saturday, according to Environment Canada.
The temperature was near -18 C to start Saturday, with a wind chill of -24 that will ease to -19 by the afternoon. Winds are 18 km/h out of the southeast with gusts up to 28 km/h.
The afternoon temperatures will hold steady overnight to Sunday, which is expected to see a high of -17 with the wind chill making it feel more like -24. There will be a 30 per cent chance of flurries forming overnight.
Monday will see clouds and a high of -11 C, with the temperature expected to rebound all the way to 2 C Tuesday.
