Environment Canada forecasts a 70 per cent chance of flurries Wednesday in St. Albert.
Today’s high of -20 C will feel more like -31 in the morning and -26 this afternoon, raising the risk of frostbite, thanks to a breeze out of the west picking up and blowing out the precipitation around dinnertime.
Periods of light snow are expected to begin overnight, with the wind chill around -28 through to the morning.
The cold will recede somewhat Thursday, when the high is expected to reach -12 C. The wind chill will drive the feeling closer to -22. Friday’s high is expected to be -14 C, Saturday -11 C and Sunday back down to -19 C daytime, and a low of -24 overnight.
Monday’s high is forecast to be -15 C under sunny skies.
