DOVER, Del. (AP) — U.S. Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester won her contest for a seat in the U.S. Senate Tuesday, setting her up to become the first woman and first Black person to represent Delaware in the Senate.

Republican Rep. Steve Womack won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing Arkansas on Tuesday. He defeated Democrat Caitlin Draper. Womack, the former mayor of Rogers, Arkansas, was first elected to the U.S. House in 2010.

Republican Rep. Erin Houchin won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing Indiana on Tuesday. The first-term conservative defeated Timothy Peck, an emergency room physician who has created three mission-based health technology companies.

Republican Gov. Phil Scott on Tuesday won reelection to a fifth term in the heavily Democratic state of Vermont.

Democrat John Olszewski won election to a U.S. House seat representing Maryland on Tuesday. He defeated Republican Kim Klacik for a seat that is open due to the retirement of Democratic Rep. C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger.

Democratic Rep. Frank Pallone won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing New Jersey on Tuesday. Pallone defeated Republican Scott Fegler and three other candidates in New Jersey's 6th District.

WASHINGTON (AP) — For the first time ever, two Black women were elected Tuesday to serve in the U.S. Senate, while voters also sent a transgender lawmaker to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Republican Rep. Mike Kelly won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing Pennsylvania on Tuesday. Kelly, 76, was running for an eighth term in his Republican-leaning district in northwestern Pennsylvania. Kelly beat Democrat Preston Nouri.

Democratic Rep. Sanford Bishop won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing Georgia on Tuesday. Bishop, 77, is Georgia's senior member of Congress.

Republican Rep. Kevin Hern won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing Oklahoma on Tuesday. He defeated Democrat Dennis Baker, a former Tulsa police officer and FBI agent.
