Those among us who honestly believe the United Conservative Party does not have an agenda to privatize our public health care system should take the blinders off.

At the Remembrance Day ceremonies downtown St.Albert as we were watching the ceremonies my grandson passed out and fell on the ground.

Thank you to all those responsible for the very respectful Remembrance Day Ceremony. It was conducted with grace where all of the participants performed or spoke very meaningfully.

I've sat back and read with mild curiosity the barrage of increasingly sappy library letters that have consumed the comment section of late with a distinct feeling of deja vu. Where have I heard this before? And then it hit me: 2018.

I work at a business in St. Albert who are lucky enough to have Chris Joseph and his family as clients. Every time they come in to my work, they are always smiling and they are such a nice family.

For some, Remembrance Day is filled with black and white photos of those who were lost in wars that were fought before most of us were even born. We salute the veterans with moments of silence and the sound of a lonely trumpet playing The Last Post.

As I approached St. Albert Place on one of my frequent trips to the library, I paused to reflect upon the beautiful statue of Lois Hole that graces the plaza. The bronze statue depicts Lois Hole on a bench sitting next to a young girl hugging a book.

Those paying even casual attention know the Alberta government is awash in cash. In fact, the black ink is oozing out of the province’s pores, to the tune of a $13 billion-or-more surplus for 2022-23.
