LETTER: Let's focus on fiscal needs

letter-sta

Regarding the editorial, "Tough choices ahead", in the April 29 Gazette, I enjoy your views!

The City of St. Albert's mayor must get the finance committee together and listen to what is happening regarding our needs and what we do not need. The city is in desperate need for more money – what are the absolute needs and how can we afford them?

Your article is very well written. $10 billion may not enough for municipalities – well, maybe the money spent on the so-much-needed renovation for St. Albert's skate park should have been set aside. Surely that concrete has not worn down since the last renovation.

Unfortunately, the people we select to make the right decision, in making living in this city affordable, are not understanding what is of more urgency.

Let the people get their health back, get back to work, concentrate on these issues, rather than showoffs.
