On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, Anita passed away peacefully and is now resting in the arms of her saviour Jesus.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Bill; her sons: Greg (Carmen) and Don (Carla); grandchildren: David, Erin, Talon and Geode; and sisters Adele and Erica.
Anita was predeceased by her parents, Karl and Irene; and by her brother Paul.
Anita was born on December 2nd, 1935 and raised on a farm outside Medicine Hat, AB. She followed her faith into parish work in the Lutheran Church, and while raising a family remained active doing parish secretarial work and as a Confirmation teacher. Anita also worked for 10 years as a secretary at Paul Kane High School, retiring in November 1991. She had a passion for teaching and a gift for hospitality.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024 in the St. Albert Evangelical Lutheran Church, 11 Glenview Crescent, St. Albert, AB. The service will be followed by a lunch and reception at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to St. Albert Evangelical Lutheran Church.
