1941~2025
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend Monica Alina (Chezzi) Robinson passed away with her family by her side, at the age of 84 years.
Monica will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kelly Anne (Leig Verkland) Robinson, Thomas Robert (Yasna) Robinson; grandsons, Robert Arthur Robinson and Cole Jackson Verkland; great grandson, Jones Robinson.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Arthur Robinson; her parents, Carlo and Sylvia (Anttila) Chezzi; and her brother Mansel Chezzi.
Monica was born in township of Neelan in Coniston/Sudbury, ON area. She was the younger of 2 children. She went to primary and secondary school in Coniston, where she also received her registered nurse diploma from Marymount School of Nursing. When she graduated in early 1960’s she worked at Sudbury General Hospital. After Monica married Bob (Robert) in September 1965, they moved to Toronto, ON where Monica worked at Humber River Hospital, now Reactivation Care Centre, in the ICU. When they moved to St. Albert in 1973, Monica started at Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital then in 1974 transferred to Sturgeon General Hospital until 1995. She finished her career working at Youville Nursing Home. During this time, she completed her CNA Certificate in Gerontology. Her nursing career spanned 41 years. Monica enjoyed her family, friends, time at the cabin and traveling with her husband in her retirement years.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 11:30 am in Holy Family Catholic Church, 75 Poirier Ave, St. Albert, AB.
