It is with great sadness that the family of William Joseph L’Hirondelle (“Bill”) announce his passing on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the age of 89 years.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Elsie; siblings, Lorraine, Carol, Fern (Garry), Terry (Sharon), and Carl (Teri); his four children, Wanda (Richard), Colleen (Frank), Ouida (Brian), Merle (Bernice); his thirteen grandchildren, Carla (Steve), Wendy (Mike), Jason, Chrissie, Teri Lynn (Jon), Mathew (Hielyn), Weida, Cody (Carley), Wesla (Jason), Jenna, Wynne (Derek), Amy, and Tim; eighteen great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and numerous extended family. Bill was predeceased by his parents Lena and Joe, and siblings Lillian and Don. He will be lovingly remembered by his family, as well as the many friends and neighbours with whom he has shared a story, a dance, or a laugh over the years.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter Catholic Parish (Villeneuve, Alberta) on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 11:00am. Reception to follow at West Country Hearth (26504 Sec Hwy 633, Sturgeon County). In lieu of flowers, donations to Covenant Health Youville Home, St. Albert would be appreciated.
