Passed away in Edmonton AB, where he spent most of his life. Born in Alkmaar Netherlands, predeceased by brother Peter Wiersma and mother Maria Wiersma.
Lucas was a proud employee of the St. Albert Gazette for many years before he became sick, changed positions there a few times as things became more difficult, until he inevitably had to leave. Luke’s pastimes included sport and a great love of music.
Survived by his niece Marissa and great nephew Myles, father Nanne, cousin Jonathan, as well as many other loving family in Holland, and wonderful friends and neighbours Dave, Ramona, and Richard.
