It is with profound sadness that we share the news of Shirley’s passing on September 2, 2024, at the age of 79 following a long and difficult health journey. Shirley was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Shirley’s extraordinary kindness, compassion, and generosity extended to everyone she met, and she will be profoundly missed by her family and many dear friends, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Shirley was born May 26, 1945, in Edmonton, Alberta. The youngest of five children she was predeceased by her daughter Dayna, her parents, Margaret and Clarence Comrie, mother and father-in-law Stanley and Anne Uchman, sister Joyce Dawson and brothers Gary and David, sisters-in-law Mary and Doris, and brother-in-law Jonnie.
Shirley will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 58 years Robert, her surviving children, Blair (Imelda), Chris (Lanie) and David (Vinnessa), her grandchildren Jienico, Jacob, Darby, Andrew, Riley and Alyssa, her brother Gerald, sisters-in-law Barbara, Lorriane and Sandra, brother-in-law Bill Dawson and her many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Shirley will take place at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail, Edmonton, AB on September 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM
