October 5, 1925 - April 10, 2024
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our wonderful Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma (GG), who passed away April 10 at the age of 98 years.
Molly was born in Aiskew, North Yorkshire, England the youngest of 5 children. Molly was a war bride; she met her husband, Tom, a Canadian stationed at RAF Leeming in 1943. They were engaged in 1945 and married in 1946. They lived in England until they moved to Canada in 1953. They lived in various cities across Canada before settling in St. Albert in 1978.
Molly was an active member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion for many years. She loved to play bingo and card games, especially Rummoli. She was an avid bowler, collecting many trophies over the years. She spent many summers in Jasper, camping with Tom in their trailer. It was there she developed her love of bears.
Molly will be lovingly remembered by son, Bill (Marilyn), daughter, Dawn (Don), grandchildren: Rob (Christine), Brett (Rhonda), Candace (Danny), Megan, Pat and Jill (Byron); great grandchildren: Riley, Saoirse, Mac, Molly and Mac.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Walter (Tom), their daughter, Wendy; her sisters: Connie and Eileen; her brothers: Frank and George; and her daughter-in-law, Marilyn.
Special thanks to the staff at Citadel Care Centre for the compassionate care over the past few years.
