Alvin was called home to the Lord while at home in palliative care July 11 at 8:14 p.m. MST. He was surrounded by the pride and joy of his life, his children Chloë Thomas (Jake), Libby Thomas, Sawyer Thomas (Melissa), Hudson Thomas, as well as their mom Sharon Thomas.
Alvin battled a devastating turbo adenocarcinoma diagnosis for a mere 33 days before his passing. He leaves behind his sister Carol Thomas-Bain (Randy), very special auntie Lucine Dwarica “Aunt Nan” (Ken) and a large extended family throughout Canada, Jamaica, the United States and beyond. Alvin worked for AIM/Larlyn Property Management for the last 25 years and was an incredibly dedicated property manager, friend, brother, son and, above all, father. He will be deeply missed.
Alvin is predeceased by his father, Henry, and mother, Barbara.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail, Edmonton, AB with public viewing beginning at 1:00 p.m. Afterwards, close friends and family are invited to join the interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, with a reception to follow at Memories Funeral Home.
