Savage, Sherrie - Edit

Sherrie Savage passed away at the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton on December 6, 2019, surrounded by her close family.

Sherrie was born on June 4, 1940 in Edmonton and spent most of her early years in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. She attended high school in Edmonton and attended university at UBC in Vancouver. She married her husband of 58 years, Bob Savage, in May of 1961, and they lived in Aberdeen and Glasgow, Scotland, Calgary, Saskatoon, Chicago, and Edmonton, before settling in St. Albert in 1971. She was a devoted mother to Patrick (Pam), and Carole; and a grandmother to Zachary. She is survived by her sister Sharon Strang (Gary). Sherrie has been a mainstay of support for her husband and children throughout her life. She was a keen curler, alpine skier, partner in a small business, family budget and investment manager, and a willing supporter to her husband in his business, professional and athletic activities as well as an avid participant in the travel/motorhome lifestyle that the family pursued in the later years. She loved laughter, socializing and meeting new people, and her zest for life will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert, Alberta.
