1935 – 2024
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Roy on October 29, 2024 at the age of 89.
Mary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Linda (Francois) and Cheryl, her grandchildren Michael and Genevieve, and her friend Martin.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Wilfrid and her parents Sidney and Florence.
Mary was born and raised in England, where she met her husband who was stationed there with the Canadian Air Force. They were transferred to Belgium, then back to Canada and eventually settled down in St. Albert.
Mary was known for her quick wit and sense of humour. She loved spending time with her family and close friends and was always available if help was needed, but would especially jump at the opportunity for some fun, an outing or an adventure. Mary was an avid bridge player and she also enjoyed road trips and attending concerts and theatrical performances. Mary was an astute business woman with a long and successful career and, as such, was also a great mentor.
Mary will be forever in our hearts.
The family wish to thank the staff at Youville Home for their kindness, care and compassion.
