It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of Isabelle Robinson of

St. Albert on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, at the age of 85 years.

She will be dearly missed by her sons, Don and Doug (Kathleen); sister,

Dorothy (Barry); nephew, Michael (Ariel) and great-niece, Anna; uncle,

Joseph (Dorothy); cousins, Gary (Connie), Linda, Blair, Dana (Mark) and

their children and grandchildren. She will also be fondly remembered by

her many friends who meant so very much to her.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 33 years, Ron, and her

parents, Joseph and Julia Onody.

Isabelle was born at home in the Badlands coal mining hamlet of Lehigh,

AB, and grew up on the family farm near Brooks. After high school, she

moved to Calgary for Secretarial College followed by a job at Calgary

Power. During this time, Isabelle met Ron, her best friend and life-long

love. They were wed in the spring of 1962 and established a loving home

in Willow Park, Calgary, into which they would soon welcome sons Don

and Doug.

In 1974 the family moved to St. Albert where Isabelle made many dear,

lifelong friends. She worked at Woodward’s department store for a few

years before spending a very fulfilling 17 years as an aide at Wild Rose

Elementary School. Nothing delighted her more than when one of her

former recess charges would excitedly greet her on the street, all grown

up.

At Isabelle’s request, no service will be held. Remember her at her best.

Memorial Donations may be made in Isabelle’s name to a charity of your

choice.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the wonderful staff at

The Citadel Care Centre for making Isabelle feel truly at home over the

last year with their unflagging and compassionate service.
