We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved wife and mum Anne (with an ‘e’) after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Anne will be missed and forever cherished by Alan, her loving husband of 64 years, daughter Joanne (Mike), sons Rob (Evelyn), and Tim (Arina), grandchildren (Ashlee, Ben, James, Travis, Jennifer, Cole, Emma, Kaia) and great grandchildren (Hailey, Mia, Joshua, MacKenzie). Anne was born in Romford, England in 1938 and met the love of her life, Alan, who proposed after only 3 weeks and they shared 64 happy years filled with love and laughter. Anne, Alan and their 3 children moved to Canada in 1982 and made St. Albert their home for 35 years. There they ran St. Albert Printing and spent many years at the local Farmer’s Market showcasing Alan’s art that Anne was very proud of. In 2015 Anne and Alan moved to Calgary to be closer to their daughter and family. Anne loved her family deeply, her quiet humor and big heart will forever be missed.
We thank the wonderful nurses and staff at Chinook Hospice who made Anne’s final days comfortable and peaceful. A celebration of Life will be held in Calgary where we will honor Anne’s wishes, ‘there will be no sadness as I’ve had a wonderful life and wouldn’t change a single thing’.
