With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Gerry Nason on May 26, 2025, at the age of 82, following a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born on July 13, 1942, in Lethbridge, Alberta, Gerry was an only child who deeply valued his strong connections with his large extended family. He was a devoted husband to Carol for 58 years, a loving father to Gena (Rod) Serge and Nicole (Joe) Nason, and a proud grandfather to Tyler (Steven) Serge, Chase (Stephanie) Saint, Rhys (Jessie) Serge, Karson (Katie) Clarke, and Karmell (Hunter) Clarke. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Leah Ann Clarke, Emmett Saint, and Bennett Clarke.
A professional artist and longtime member of the Alberta Sculptors Association, Gerry spent six decades creating art found across the province. He crafted unique gifts for loved ones, including custom rocking horses for his great-grandchildren.
Gerry was an all-around good guy—a kind, patient, and genuine person who always offered support and wisdom. He accepted people as they were and forged lifelong friendships with ease, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met.
