It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rolly Nash. Rolly passed away after a short illness surrounded with love by his close friends Ron Hodgson and Elsie beside him on July 18, 2024, at the University of Alberta Hospital.

He is also survived by nieces Tanis and Donna, nephews Craig, Brian, Kevin and Derek as well as several great nieces and nephews. Rolly was predeceased by his father Harold Nash in 1987 and his mother Nellie (nee Mitchell) in 2008.
Rolly was born on February 13, 1946, in Roblin, Manitoba. He grew up on the family farm where he learned the importance of hard work and integrity. He attended Goose Lake Collegiate in Roblin and later the Manitoba Institute of Technology in Winnipeg.
Rolly worked at Ron Hodgson Chevrolet Buick GMC in St. Albert, AB, for many years, becoming one of Ron’s close friends. He spent a large part of his life in the Car Racing community, a sport he was dedicated to and loved. One of the many contributions Rolly made to the sport was managing the Oval Track at Castrol Raceway for several years. He was part of the Team who raced the Baja 1000 with Ron Hodgson and his son Jamie and also raced Off-Road Sprint Cars across the USA and Mexico with them. Rolly was a fixture in many racing circles and will be remembered for his integrity, knowledge, kindness, stubbornness and wit. Rolly will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends across the racing and car world.
