MUXLOW, Edwin Lloyd

Posted

Edwin Lloyd Muxlow, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on October 12, 2024, at the age of 75. Ed, as he was known, passed quietly in his sleep at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, after years of health issues. He was surrounded by his amazing care team that he considered to be his second family.

Ed was born in Strathroy, Ontario on June 12, 1949, to Lloyd and Vera Muxlow. He was known for being fond of model railroading, stamp collecting and playing guitar. Ed could be described as witty, analytical, wise and unconventional.

Ed attended Western University, graduating with a degree in mathematics. For many years Ed worked for International Pipeline as a computer analyst.

Throughout Ed’s life journey he was a passionate man and loved to challenge people. He knew exactly what he wanted. He will always lovingly be known for being the biggest backseat driver.

Ed is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda; daughters, Victoria Proulx and Carrie Ann Muxlow (Michael); grandchildren, Tylr Proulx (Courtney) and Jocelynn Proulx; great-granddaughter, Olive Proulx; and brother, Douglas Muxlow (Matilda). He will be dearly missed by many family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Vera; and siblings, Peter Muxlow and Betty VanDamme.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, https://www.heartandstroke.ca/
