September 9, 1932 to May 21, 2025
With sad hearts we announce the passing of Hank on May 21, 2025 at the ripe young age of 92. He will be remembered always by his daughter Michele & Bennett, his son Norm & Wendy, and his grandson Kalen & Samantha. His sister Tina and nephew Bob (Phyllis) along with extended family and friends will miss this humorous handyman.
Hank, Dad, Papa was a hard worker and prided himself on a job well done. He loved working with his hands and was a carpenter and cabinet maker and renovated numerous homes for his family and friends over the years. An avid sport enthusiast, he played on numerous ball and hockey teams. He was always busy puzzling, making wine, cooking and scoping out the ‘best prices’. He loved caring for his flowers and garden. He particularly enjoyed climbing ladders, pruning trees, and chopping wood.
Dad and Mom were campers extraordinaire. They tented, progressed to a tent trailer, and in their 70’s and 80’s inherited a 1976 Ford Truck Camper that was totally their style! Peanut Lake by Barrhead was there ‘go to’ spot later in life to enjoy a good campfire. Hank cherished their winter get aways to Friendly Vallarta. In 2022 Michele took Hank to Puerta Vallarta, she knew she was in for a trip she would never forget, and she won’t!
Dad left this world exactly the way he wanted, living independently at home, still finding the best deals while enjoying nibblies, a scotch and a cigar. We will miss you always but know that you are reunited with Mom at last.
The family will be having a private celebration of life at Peanut Lake.
