Lawrence (Larry) was born September 17, 1936 in Thornbury, ON and passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024 in Stony Plain, AB with his family by his side.
Lawrence was a history buff, particularly the history of his family. He also enjoyed watching old western movies and hockey. Lawrence was a passionate collector of coins and other paraphernalia attending many shows over the years. He loved fishing, camping, bowling and visiting the mountains, especially Jasper. Most of all, he got the greatest enjoyment from spending time with his family!
Lawrence is lovingly survived by his daughter Michelle, his son Brad (Laurie), his grandchildren Alicia, Eric (Cassandra), Cheyenne, Catherine, Leo and great granddaughter Mia. He is also survived by his sister Joyce Mittermeier of Collingwood, ON as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Lawrence was predeceased by his first wife, Madeleine, second wife Irene, his daughter Angela and grandson Victor.
The family would like to thank the Westview Health Centre Hospice for their love and care during Lawrence’s final weeks.
The family would also like to thank the staff at Serenity Funeral Service - Spruce Grove.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 22nd at 12:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 75 Poirier Ave., St. Albert, AB.
Lawrence will be laid to rest with Madeleine and their daughter Angela at South Haven Cemetery at a later date.
