Sun T. Ma passed on March 1, 2023, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital with his family by his side following a brief struggle with thyroid cancer. He was 72.
An electronics technologist, Sun spent 35 years working for Nav Canada, where he was instrumental in the design and construction of air traffic control centres across Canada. He raised three children while in St. Albert before retiring to Edmonton, where he would often be seen power-walking around Beaumaris Lake.
Sun is survived by his wife, Lin; children Mike, Kevin, and Helen; sister Moonny; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held March 11 at 2 p.m. at the Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home in St. Albert (9 Muir Drive). Call 780-458-2222 for details.
