We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Stanley Christopher Lozinski on Monday, September 2, 2024 at the age of 85.
Stan was born on December 30, 1938 on the family farm, near Hyas, SK. He grew up there with his five siblings. Stan attended the University of Saskatchewan and obtained an Arts degree and a Commerce degree with a major in Accounting. He was the News Editor of “The Sheaf”, the campus student newspaper, as well. Stan became a chartered accountant and that was his main occupation, he was also a commercial realtor. Stan met the love of his life, Barb, in 1968 and they married in 1970. They had two children, Audrey and Kurt. In 1976, the young family moved to St. Albert, which they have called home ever since. Stan was actively involved with the Knights of Columbus and was a 4th degree member, until his health declined. His favourite thing to do was watch his son and later his grandsons play soccer and he rarely missed a game.
Stan was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anna; brother, Matt; sisters, Sr. Celestine (Margaret) and Mary Lukan.
Stan will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 54 years, Barb; children, Audrey (Stan) Marple and Kurt Lozinski; grandsons, Aidan and Dylan Marple; sister, Theresa Beyko; brother, Al (Mary) Lozinski; his sister-in-law, Sylvia Lozinski; brother-in-law, Duane Lukan; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 in Holy Family Parish, 75 Poirier Ave., St. Albert, AB.
