January 28, 1977-June 3, 2024
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Tim Lozinik “Loz” on June 3, 2024 in Costa Rica, at the age of 47.
Tim will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Kyla Lindholm; his parents, Fred and Beverley Lozinik; his sister Tammy (Don) Schroeder; his niece Rachel Schroeder; his father and mother-in-law, Craig and Julie Lindholm; and numerous friends and extended family.
Tim was predeceased by his Gido and Baba, Andrew and Stephanie Lozinik; and his Papa and Nana, Samuel and Anne Glubish.
Throughout his life Tim lived to the fullest. He played hockey in the St. Albert minor hockey league and for the St. Albert Saints, as well as in the WHL, and in the United States. He excelled at sports and this led to a career in personal training (including XPT) and a career in the Edmonton Fire Department as a firefighter for nearly 15 years. When someone was left out or unnoticed, Tim took the time for them. He cared about people deeply and this led to a friendship group that is vast and spans many countries. His love for travel and surfing lead Kyla and Tim to move and settle in Dominical, Costa Rica, building a beautiful life together.
On Monday, June 3rd, 2024 he died suddenly and it has left us all missing him immensely. The Lozinik family wants to thank our St. Albert community, and church family for your support, love and prayers during this difficult time. Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.
We invite you to come remember and celebrate Tim’s life, with family and friends on Friday, August 9th, 2024 at the Event Centre, located in the Northeast River Valley Park, at 11:00 am. The address is: 903 153 Avenue NE, Edmonton, AB T5Y 6K8, 780-442-5311. There will be extra time set aside to fellowship afterwards with food trucks on site for everyone to enjoy!
